Meshaun Labrone, a Florida International University B.F.A. graduate, has been a prolific force on the South Florida theatre scene for several years. He has graced respected area stages in productions such as Blues For An Alabama Sky, Creation of the World and other Business, and Two Trains Runnin. Meshaun has worked with noted artists such as Slava Dolgachev (Moscow Art Theatre) and Method Man. He has been nominated for several awards and was voted Best Actor for 2009 by The Miami New Times. Meshaun has also channeled his energy into the shaping of young creative minds as the drama teacher at Hialeah-Miami Lakes High School. He initially used writing as his earliest form of artistic expression, for he began writing short stories at the age of 8. By the time he was 14, he began writing poetry and put together a rap group called 2Cool. Meshaun’s love for words and music made him a force in the Miami poetry and hip hop scene. In 1998, Meshaun was an original member of, Love Jones, the first spoken word poetry club in South Florida. He recently released
